Let's get started...

It has been suggested to me, more than a couple of times, that I ought to have a blog. I have resisted, mostly because I have seen too many bad blogs. Perhaps the contents simply failed to engage me or they seemed too self-indulgent. Whatever.

But, I should have at least a little confidence in my own ability to be engaging (after all, I create communications for a living) and can all these insistent people be wrong? I mean, I have a collection of bright, intelligent friends and acquaintances (!) and I should respect their opinions.

So, what will I write about? Probably what I always write about - what's going on and what I think about what's going on. Those folks who get my e-mails already know what this is like. Sometimes it's a travelogue or an air show report. Other times it's a rant or a general commentary (What? Jerome has an opinion? How different!).

Current politics and society in general seem to be fair game. And I can probably throw a photo or two with comments on here, too.

So, I'll see where this can go and if anybody finds it readable.
